Exotic Incentive in Bali

Just returned from Bali with a corporate incentive group – great weather, lovely beaches and lots of culture. 3 days of activity and the guests loved every part of it….and shopped til they dropped!

Amazing culinary dining at local restaurants (the food is delicious and so flavourful), a full day of water sports out in the ocean and everyone was sun drenched!

Shopping galore as Bali has so much to offer and suitcases were overflowing… Had time to do a city tour and get a good feel of the city and its people.

Great destination!!

Back from 4 days in Namibia

This was my first trip to Namibia and quite interesting.

Capital: Windhoek
Flight from Dubai: Stopover via Johannesburg. Total flying time 12 hours.

This destination known for: Dramatic landscapes with red dunes, deep canyons and mountains. There is also the skeleton coast – known for numerous shipwrecks along the coast line and for which guests have to attain permits to view the protected area.

In terms of wildlife Namibia offers the chance to view Rhinos, Giraffes, Puku Antelope, Cheetah and more. The three main tourist attractions for wildlife in Namibia are Etosha National ParkWaterberg National Park and Cape Cross Seal Reserve.

Of course being along the coast there are opportunities to view Dolphins and Seals also. Staying at various places during the stay made me aware Namibia has some standard good quality lodges and hotels and some super luxury products!

3 Days in Ras Al Khaimah!

I just got back from an activity filled trip to Ras Al Khaimah, UAE with one of our incentive groups. It was a fantastic 3 days packed with activities !

Highlights were definitely the Micro Flight Experience which guests loved and experience done on  their 1st day!

Who wouldn’t want to appreciate amazing views from gyro-copters, planes and deltas! The flight was 20 minutes and though we had to wait until the fog cleared, once it had and we were up in the air it was spectacular !! This is certainly the way to conquer new heights.

The next day we took advantage of being on the beach with some Beach Olympics (Football, Volley Ball, Archery, Pearl Hunting & Circle Racing). Apart from the focus on strengthening group dynamics & team building, this was 3 hours of laughter, bonding and great photo moments! Not to mention highly energizing after which a well-deserved afternoon of relaxing by the pool or on the beach was called for.

Along with a catamaran ride and bbq lunch – this was an activity filled couple of days of sun, sand and fun. We stayed at the gorgeous Waldorf Astoria Hotel that lives up to its name in grandeur, style and luxury.

Picture marble floors, magnificent high ceilings, indulgent rooms and gourmet dining! They have a private beach and the ocean is great for swimming.

The new Mara Toto Camp at Great Plains Conservation

Image Courtesy of Great Plains Conservation
Great Plains Conservation is pleased to announce, on 28th January, a second camp openned in the greater Masai Mara ecosystem, Mara Toto Camp.

Toto’ means baby in Swahili, and was often used as a term of endearment in reference to young safari staff in the days of early exploration. But today, in our context, it is simply meant out of respect to its sister camp, Mara Plains, which has developed a phenomenal reputation. We are certain Mara Toto will follow suit.
